Process
The process for provisioning the RockPi4B+ can be broken down into 3 stages; prepare, provision and test.
Prepare
In order to prepare for flashing the RockPi4B+ devices, n many microSD cards must be flashed with the target image for n many RockPi4B+ devices to be provisioned in parallel.
Once n number of microSD cards have been flashed with the target OS image, they can continue to be used through the provisioning process, i.e. do not need to be flashed every cycle.
Provision
The RockPi4B+ is a flasher OS type and does not consume an microSD card upon flashing; it must be removed after the device powers itself off.
Test
To test that the RockPi4B+ has booted correctly into balenaOS, the HDMI testing jig should be used. An ethernet and USB C power connection should be applied to the DUT and the device should be allowed to boot into balenaOS. After powering on the test jig, a timer should be started to give the devices 2 minutes to reach balenaCloud and display a splashscreen on the rig screen.
